About Me...

I am a caring, dedicated and committed counsellor whose purposeful transition into therapy work follows a meaningful 20-year career in education and coaching. As a former MOE PE teacher, ITE lecturer and netball coach, I have worked closely with children, adolescents, and young adults across both academic and sports settings.

Over the years, I developed a deep appreciation for the emotional and psychological needs of individuals — beyond their performance or grades. Combined with my own personal journey of growth and healing, these experiences inspired my mid-career switch into the mental health field, fulfilling a long-held aspiration to support individuals more deeply and holistically. I now bring compassion, insight, and lived experience into creating a safe, supportive space for others.

My counselling approach is grounded in authenticity, empathy, and a deep respect for each person's unique story. I am especially passionate about supporting young adults, individuals feeling lost or overwhelmed, and those seeking personal growth and well-being. I believe in walking alongside clients with care, openness, and confidentiality — through the heavy days, confusing thoughts, and the quiet need for someone who truly listens — supporting them as they explore, heal, and navigate life with greater clarity and self-compassion.

As a mother of two teenagers (and a furbaby), I bring a lived understanding of the challenges of motherhood, parenting, marriage, and family life. In my free time, I enjoy learning new things, volunteering, playing mahjong with friends, connecting over meaningful conversations, a good iced latte or tea, and great food — and winding down with a good book.

It's okay to be not okay

A relational approach

Therapy is not about having everything figured out, nor is it about rushing to "fix" what feels painful or overwhelming. It is a collaborative space where we can gently explore and make sense of your lived experiences — your thoughts, emotions, relationships, and the burdens you may be carrying — while working towards healing at a pace that feels safe and manageable for you.

Seeking support is not a sign of weakness, nor does it mean you are broken. Rather, it takes strength, courage, and self-awareness to recognise that you do not have to navigate life's struggles entirely on your own.

In our sessions, you do not need to have the words fully formed. There is space for the uncertainty, confusion, and complexity that comes with being human. Let's gently unravel patterns that may no longer be serving you.
